Amber Lovitt, MSN, APRN, FNP-C

Advanced practice provider Amber Lovitt earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing at the University of Texas at Arlington. A certified advanced practice registered nurse and certified family nurse practitioner (APRN, FNP-C), she also has earned certification in basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS).

Among her primary clinical interests are in-office procedures such as sutures and biopsies, as well as women's health and helping them navigate difficulties like menopause and infertility. Her clinical skills include treating and diagnosing acute and chronic illnesses, ordering diagnostic imaging and labs, educating patients on disease processes and medications and interpreting radiology and lab reports.

Amber compares medicine to solving a puzzle. With just a few pieces, her challenge is to put together a whole picture, using her education every day to help people lead healthier, happier lives.

She sees her health care career as a calling, going back to growing up in family of nurturing women. Her approach is to treat the whole person, not just the symptoms, and she finds great satisfaction in helping each patient find a diagnosis and relieve the symptoms. When she spends time with a patient, she treats that person as if she’s speaking to a close family member or friend. Her goal is for her patients to be comfortable confiding in her and trusting her with their care.

In her leisure time, Amber is a voracious reader and loves to cook and bake. Most of all, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two sons and three fur babies.
