Fellowship-trained in Interventional Cardiology, Scott Bassett, M.D., graduated from The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowships in both Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, where he served as chief interventional cardiology fellow.
With cutting-edge training in the latest technology, Dr. Bassett sees patients 18 and older. Board certified in Cardiovascular Diseases, he treats a variety of conditions including coronary and peripheral artery disease, valvular heart disease including advanced aortic stenosis, heart failure, and basic arrhythmias such as atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter. Setting him apart, Dr. Bassett performs the less invasive procedure, TAVR (transcatheter aortic valve replacement), allowing some patients an alternative option to open heart surgery with a faster recovery time.
Dr. Bassett is determined to provide excellent cardiovascular care with compassion and understanding. He is passionate about working towards a diagnosis with the ultimate goal of delivering treatment quickly so that each patient of his can feel their best as soon as possible.
