Dr. Isil Halac earned her medical degree at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine in Istanbul, Turkey. She completed her internship and residency in pediatrics and a fellowship in pediatric endocrinology at the University of Illinois at Chicago and Children’s Memorial Hospital.
A board-certified pediatrician, Dr. Halac sees newborns through age 18 for all types of pediatric care including acute illnesses, behavioral concerns and age-appropriate well-child visits.
Her primary clinical interests are pediatric endocrinology and obesity medicine. In addition to general pediatrics, she evaluates patients with growth issues such as short or tall stature, thyroid conditions, childhood obesity and polycystic ovary syndrome.
Dr. Halac believes that each child is unique and colorful, and interacting with them makes it fun for her to come to work each day. In her child-centered approach to care, she sees herself as a mentor. She creates partnerships with patients and families according to their needs and works to establish bonds with both children and parents.
Dr. Halac is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
